The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is a vital part of the IT Operations team, responsible for ensuring the high performance and reliability of the company's IT infrastructure. This role involves hands-on support and maintenance of Windows/Linux servers, Cisco/Aruba networks, hypervisors, cloud services, and voice communications across the Bangkok headquarters, local branch offices, and occasional domestic and international travel.

This position supervises and mentors a team of IT Operations staff, including IT Infrastructure and IT Service Desk, while collaborating across departments to offer technical assistance and guidance. The engineer participates in cross-functional projects, providing infrastructure insights and support to other technical teams as needed.

The role offers the opportunity to enhance IT infrastructure processes by adopting automation technology and to develop comprehensive documentation for systems and procedures. The engineer will also respond to incidents and requests during AU and TH time zones, ensuring business operations continue with minimal disruption.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to set up, upgrade, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, both physical and virtual.
  • Experienced in Cisco/Aruba network design and implementation, with a strong understanding of BGP, MPLS, VLAN, IP Telephony, and Network Zone Based.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring an IT technical team.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven administration experience with cloud technologies, preferably with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Able to travel within Thailand and overseas.
  • Provide technical expertise to support IT colleagues in Thailand and overseas.
  • Associate project management skills.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and IT change process.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of IT Operations including IT Infrastructure and IT Service Desk, collaborating across departments to offer technical assistance and guidance.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, upgrades, and installations of new IT infrastructure components, and respond to unexpected issues or emergencies during non-office hours.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for IT infrastructure systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Enhance IT infrastructure processes by adopting automation technology.
  • Respond to incidents and requests related to infrastructure during AU and TH time zones.
  • Monitor systems health and flag any concerns in a timely manner to reduce risk.
  • Manage Microsoft Windows services including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Exchange server, clustering services, Hyper-V virtualization, and Hmail.
  • Administer Linux web servers (Apache, PHP, MySQL, WordPress), Fortigate firewalls, Cisco/Aruba networking technologies, and Office 365, AWS, and Azure cloud technologies.
