About this role

The Security Engineering Manager serves as a key member of the Global Cyber Information Security strategic leadership team. You will act as a consensus builder, problem solver, and team leader for the overall security organization. Balance security requirements with business objectives while empowered with the CISO on planning and design.

Lead security engineering across one or more technical domains. Develop, implement, and oversee the company's network security and security architecture. Drive forward a cyber security roadmap with tools, technologies, and methodologies to reduce enterprise risk.

Drive a cross-organization security strategy with a shift-left approach to integrate security from software design through release. Work onsite 4 days a week at Medtronic sites like Mounds View, Minnesota for cross-functional collaboration. Bring bold ideas forward with speed to put patients first.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in security engineering
  • Innate understanding of balancing security requirements with business objectives
  • Experience leading security engineering teams
  • Expertise in network security and security architecture
  • Knowledge of cyber security roadmaps, tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Ability to drive shift-left security integration across organizations
  • Skills in collaborating with CISO on planning and design initiatives
  • Capacity for innovation in security architecture approaches
