The Master Data Analyst role centers on creating, updating, and managing material master data and parts in ERP systems such as SAP and IFS. This position ensures data remains accurate, complete, and aligned with company standards while identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Daily work involves material master data creation and maintenance of records in SAP and IFS according to established standards. The analyst regularly reviews data for inconsistencies, corrects errors, and tracks KPIs and SLAs to maintain TAT compliance along with high accuracy and quality rates. Clear guidelines and process documentation are also maintained to support consistent operations.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential, requiring close coordination with Bill of Material, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product environmental compliance teams to gather and validate necessary information. The role operates within a dynamic environment that demands proactive problem-solving and the ability to adapt to shifting business priorities and large volumes of material data.
Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy requires employees to work at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless business obligations require time out of the office. This structure supports both focused individual work and ongoing team interaction across global manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
- Full-time graduate degree in any stream; preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration.
- Domain knowledge of Supply Chain, SAP/ERP (MM module), material pricing, RoHS, HTS/HSN codes, and Sales/Purchase Org.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to address issues related to material master data creation and management.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage large volumes of material master data with efficient processes and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory standards and industry guidelines for compliance.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain material master records in SAP and IFS per established standards.
- Work with BOM, procurement, engineering, and other teams to gather and validate data.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose strategies to streamline material master operations.
- Review and correct data inconsistencies on a regular basis.
- Maintain clear guidelines and process documentation for master data activities.
- Track KPIs and SLAs to ensure TAT compliance along with high accuracy and quality rates.
