We're seeking a visionary and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take a leading role in architecting and operationalizing the DevOps strategy for our business-critical API Gateway (Apigee).

Spearhead the modernization of DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines for the mission-critical Apigee API Gateway while embracing GitOps methodologies. Design production operations by embedding SRE principles and leveraging AIOps tools for anomaly detection and automated incident remediation.

Actively participate in a global on-call rotation using a follow-the-sun model and collaborate with an international team to ensure 24/7 operational excellence. Partner across engineering, product, and security domains to champion the enterprise-wide API Gateway strategy and integrate security-as-code from day one.

Architect gateway solutions that securely route high-volume traffic for Generative AI, LLM, and Machine Learning APIs. Utilize GenAI coding assistants to accelerate the creation of Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, and test-driven development frameworks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and advanced deployment techniques such as blue/green and canary releases.
Deep understanding of REST API design and experience with distributed architectures running on Cloud Run, Kubernetes (GKE), or OpenShift.
Proficiency in languages such as GoLang, Python, or Java to build automation, custom tooling, and integrations.
Demonstrable experience working within Agile methodologies and baseline understanding of utilizing AI tools to enhance software engineering productivity.

Enable AI & Next-Gen Workloads by architecting gateway solutions that route high-volume traffic for Generative AI, LLM, and Machine Learning APIs with intelligent rate-limiting and payload security.
Innovate with AI-Assisted Development by utilizing GenAI coding assistants to accelerate Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, and test-driven development frameworks.
Participate in global on-call rotation using a follow-the-sun model while collaborating with an international team to ensure 24/7 operational excellence.
Drive Strategic Alignment by partnering across engineering, product, and security domains to integrate security-as-code from day one.
