About this role

The Security Engineer Internship targets those who can join as new graduates in October 2027 or April 2028. Interns on the Mercari Security Engineering Team participate in security design, process reviews, develop and deploy security countermeasures, and execute penetration tests. This unique role involves high-stakes projects across the organization.

Engage in monitoring and log analysis, performing security reviews and creating threat models. Design and implement security automation or dashboards. Work on web and mobile application security, selecting one key opportunity of interest.

Requirements

  • Able to join as new graduate in October 2027 or April 2028
  • Able to work more than 20 hours per week
  • Available for 2-3 months of internship
  • Able to stay in Japan during internship
  • Eligible for visa support if living overseas
