About this role

As a Lead Full Stack Engineer at CoverGo, you will play a critical role in driving technical vision and execution of our enterprise-grade no-code insurance platform. You'll lead a team, mentor peers, and champion AI-driven capabilities to push boundaries in insurtech.

You will guide architectural decisions, shape development standards, and foster innovation across the platform with a focus on scalable software design and continuous delivery. Collaborating with product managers and designers, you'll translate business requirements into technical solutions and oversee the development of AI-powered features.

CoverGo is an international, diverse team of over 120 people representing 30 nationalities, all working remotely from around the globe. We work with enterprise clients such as AXA, Bupa, and MSIG, and have a global presence in Asia, EMEA, and the Americas.

You will drive the technical strategy for AI integration, exploring new models and frameworks to deliver intelligent solutions. This role offers the chance to shape a rapidly growing platform that has increased revenue by over 30x since 2021, backed by reputable investors.

Requirements

Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
Proven experience leading full-stack development teams and mentoring engineers.
Strong background in designing scalable, maintainable architecture for SaaS platforms.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration, including evaluating and implementing models from providers like OpenAI or Hugging Face.
Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and continuous delivery.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
Ability to drive technical strategy and make data-driven architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of our SaaS platform, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Full Stack Engineers, fostering their growth through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Define and drive the technical strategy for AI integration, collaborating with product and data teams to deliver AI-powered features that improve automation, decision-making, and user experience.
Explore and evaluate new AI models, frameworks, and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google AI), and oversee the development of AI proof-of-concepts.
Drive architectural decisions and establish coding standards and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce quality standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement through testing and automation.
Proactively identify technical debt, scalability bottlenecks, and areas for optimization, leading initiatives to improve system performance.
