About this role

The Semi-Senior Data Engineer will help design, build, and evolve scalable data solutions for digital marketing and advertising use cases. Working closely with Analytics and Solutions Engineering teams, the role covers data engineering from discovery through deployment. Monks connects brands to nearly 6,000 digital specialists across 57 hubs in 33 countries.

Daily work centers on developing robust data pipelines and analytics-ready data models across DSPs, ad servers, and third-party sources. Responsibilities include data discovery, ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and ensuring quality and reconciliation across heterogeneous datasets. The position also supports cross-platform metric allocation and incrementality reporting.

Team members participate in client project phases including requirements clarification, task planning, estimation, and solution recommendations. Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure on GCP including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run Jobs, Dataflow, and BigQuery Data Transfer Service.
  • Experience with data modeling and transformation tools such as dbt for BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with media reporting UIs/APIs such as DV360, SA360, or Meta.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience with analytics or marketing analytics techniques.

  • Contribute to client project phases including requirements clarification, task planning, estimation, and solution recommendations.
  • Ensure data quality and reconciliation across heterogeneous datasets.
  • Support measurement workflows such as cross-platform metric allocation and incrementality/attribution reporting.
