As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will architect and operate the enterprise data platform on Azure, focusing on storage, compute, and streaming layers. This role is central to enabling high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients to preserve their wealth for future generations.

You will develop reusable platform frameworks for ingestion, orchestration, and workflow execution. Own infrastructure engineering for data systems including compute, storage, and identity integration using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Design platform observability, monitoring, and governance frameworks to ensure reliability.

Partner with analytics and data teams to enable broad platform usage. Provide architectural leadership and mentor engineers, while leading system integration patterns including event-driven and batch architectures. This collaboration ensures platform adoption across the organization. Support M&A integration through scalable platform onboarding.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong experience building and operating cloud-native platforms on Azure (compute, storage, networking).
  • Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient systems with defined SLAs/SLOs.
  • Experience with system integration patterns (event-driven architectures, APIs, streaming systems).
  • Strong understanding of identity, access control, secure platform design (e.g., Entra ID).
  • Experience implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-team platform initiatives and define engineering standards.
