About this role

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement large-scale applications and data engineering solutions using agile and DevOps practices. This role demands a strong background in cloud development and data lake architecture, with a preference for Microsoft Azure technologies.

Day-to-day work involves building and managing data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Blob Storage, Data Lake, Functions, and EventHub. You will write scripts using Python, Spark, and Unix, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.

As a senior engineer, you will contribute to large-scale data engineering initiatives across multiple locations, leveraging a combination of development, administration, and support experience on diverse data platforms like Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake.

Requirements

  • Overall 6+ years of total experience.
  • 5+ years of software solution development using agile, DevOps, and product model, including designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience using SQL.
  • 4+ years of cloud development and data lake experience, preferably Microsoft Azure, including Azure EventHub, Data Factory, Functions, ASA, Databricks, DevOps, Blob Storage, Data Lake, and Power Apps.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Spark, and Unix.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Explorer (KQL).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement large-scale applications or data engineering solutions using agile, DevOps, and product models.
  • Build and manage cloud data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and Azure EventHub.
  • Administer and support Azure cloud data platforms including Blob Storage, Data Lake, and Azure Power Apps.
  • Write scripts using Python, Spark, and Unix for data processing and automation.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
  • Work with data platforms such as Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake.
  • Perform data analytics and SQL-based querying to ensure data quality and integrity.
