About this role

As a Data Analyst at StraitsX, you will join the Data Team and play a key role in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders. You will work with large datasets, apply statistical and analytical techniques, and generate actionable insights that help improve business performance and operational efficiency.

Your day-to-day work involves developing and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide regular updates on key business metrics, enabling leadership teams to monitor company performance effectively. You will collect, interpret, and analyze data based on stakeholder requirements, collaborating closely with other data analysts and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.

You will conduct in-depth data analysis to investigate business challenges, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives. Partnering with Data Engineering teams, you will help define and establish internal and external data sources, including contributing to data warehouse design and data modeling for optimal data organization.

This role offers the opportunity to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations that directly support business growth and operational improvements. You will also investigate and resolve data anomalies by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and recommend solutions, all while exploring Agentic AI tools to enhance your analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Up to 1 year of experience as a Data Analyst. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in at least one database query language (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, PrestoSQL, or similar).
Strong understanding of basic statistics and analytical concepts.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Strong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Curiosity and eagerness to explore and leverage Agentic AI tools to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes.
