We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Cedar's Platform Testing team, owning the systems, strategy, and developer experience that help Cedar ship high-quality software quickly and confidently. You will lead the transformation of Cedar's testing ecosystem from a source of friction into a force multiplier for product stability and developer velocity.

Your first focus areas include improving cost-effective QA environments for internal partners, building a better testing strategy for service-to-service validation, and solving gaps in model settings and entitlements testing. You will partner closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Delivery, and Integrations.

Over time, you will help Cedar move toward a future where intelligent automation, LLM-powered code review, and platform-level validation reduce manual review bottlenecks and improve confidence at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage and grow a small team and work deeply with engineers.

Requirements

Experience leading testing strategy and execution for a software platform in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage and grow an engineering team, including talent development and performance management
Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture and experience with service-to-service validation patterns
Hands-on technical background in test automation, CI/CD, and developer experience improvement
Experience collaborating with Staff Engineers, Architects, and product stakeholders to align testing with business outcomes
Ability to drive transformation from friction-heavy testing to a force multiplier for velocity and stability
Familiarity with modern testing challenges such as LLM-generated code and increasing system complexity

Responsibilities

Lead Cedar's Platform Testing team, including strategy, execution, talent development, and stakeholder alignment
Develop and execute a testing platform roadmap that improves developer velocity, product reliability, and confidence in releases
Partner with Staff Engineers and Architects to implement testing strategies for service-oriented architecture, including service-to-service validation and test environment strategy
Improve the developer experience of testing by reducing slow feedback loops, lowering test environment friction, and making failures easier to understand and act on
Own and evolve internal QA environments for internal partners to ensure cost-effective and reliable testing
Solve gaps in model settings and entitlements testing as part of the initial focus areas
Manage and grow a small team while working closely with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Delivery, and Integrations
