ITT Inc. is a multi-industrial technology leader providing cutting-edge solutions across global end markets including automotive, aerospace, energy, and medical. We are seeking an R&D Data Analyst Intern to join our Basic Research team, focusing on data analysis and machine learning applications.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Basic Research team on data collection, cleaning, and analysis projects with IT support. You will apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to support internal R&D projects, and create interactive dashboards to visualize results for data-driven decision-making.

You will work within a global R&D environment that spans 35 countries and over 100 facilities, partnering with approximately 11,000 team members. The role offers exposure to real-world industrial data challenges across our three business segments: Motion Technologies, Industrial Process, and Connect and Control Technologies.

This internship provides hands-on experience developing new tools and methods for data analysis in a technology-driven manufacturing and engineering company. You will contribute to projects that help solve critical challenges for customers worldwide while building your skills in a supportive, innovation-focused team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Economics and Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science required; other relevant STEM degrees considered
Experience in data analysis and data management is required
Knowledge of programming and machine learning, with Python knowledge preferred
Experience with PowerBi (or similar) and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred
Strong problem-solving skills, team spirit, and the ability to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Solid IT skills and ability to collaborate effectively across R&D teams

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Basic Research team of the R&D Department on data collection, analysis, and cleaning projects with IT support
Support the team through statistical analysis and data interpretation
Create interactive dashboards and reports to visualize analysis results and support data-driven decision-making
Apply machine learning techniques to support the development of internal projects within the R&D Department
Participate in projects for the development of new tools and methods for data collection and analysis
Assist in building predictive models to analyze engineering and manufacturing data
Document data pipelines and analysis workflows for reproducibility and team knowledge sharing
