About this role

Cox Automotive seeks a talented Product Designer II to support cross-functional teams designing key experiences for the Kelley Blue Book brand. This role suits detail-oriented, collaborative designers who apply critical thinking and design craft to solve real customer problems. You will focus on high-quality user experiences amid AI transformation.

Provide design guidance on an AI transformation team, addressing real user needs while aligning to the KBB Design System. Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate concepts and support spec-driven development. Present work to peers and leaders for alignment and partner with development teams for accurate implementation.

Collaborate directly with product managers, software engineers, and others in agile or iterative delivery teams. Apply and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UX standards for consistency. Advocate for user-centered design methods and data-informed decision-making across experiences.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, UX, and product design. Gain exposure to end-to-end design execution from research to post-release validation. Contribute to complex prototypes using LLM-powered AI tools within dynamic cross-functional environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or related discipline and 2+ years of experience in UX, UI, Product Design, or related field, with portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX solutions
  • Experience with end-to-end product design execution, including user research, discovery, concept ideation, prototyping, delivery support, and post-release validation
  • Experience with Figma for design, prototyping, and alignment to a shared design system
  • Experience using AI-powered tools within the design workflow, including prototyping, ideation, or workflow acceleration
  • Experience collaborating directly with product managers, software engineers, and related roles as part of an agile or iterative delivery team
  • Experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate user flows
  • Experience creating complex prototypes using LLM-powered AI tools
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant UX/UI work that demonstrates problem-solving and design thinking

Responsibilities

  • Provide design guidance as part of an AI transformation team, addressing real user needs while aligning to the KBB Design System
  • Ensure delivered experiences maintain a high level of quality for end users
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows
  • Present design work to peers and business leaders to build alignment
  • Partner with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately
  • Apply and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UX standards
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, UX, and product design
  • Advocate for user-centered design methods and data-informed decision-making

Benefits

  • Base salary in the range of $107,200.00 - $160,800.00
  • Position may be eligible for additional compensation including an incentive program
  • Hybrid work option with ability to work remotely part of the week
  • Travel up to 15% of the time
