The Data Scientist prepares and explores data, supports baseline model development, and contributes to projects across clinical, operational, and financial use cases. This role works under the guidance of senior team members. It builds foundational skills across the full data science workflow.

Daily tasks include cleaning, joining, and preparing datasets for analysis. Perform exploratory data analysis to surface patterns and insights. Build and evaluate baseline machine learning models with mentorship while writing clear, reproducible Python/R notebooks.

Track experiments, metrics, and modeling assumptions. Create visualizations and communicate findings in a clear, domain-aware manner. Collaborate with senior team members and apply data science best practices in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python/R (pandas, scikit-learn)
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Foundational understanding of statistics (sampling, bias, model validation)
  • Familiarity with Git or version control
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Exposure to healthcare data (EHR or claims)
  • Basic NLP skills
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure or platforms for model development and deployment
