At ENGIE, join the SEM Iberia Data Team as a Data Engineer Intern, working closely with traders, analysts, and IT squads. Hybrid role in Madrid requires fluent English, with Spanish as a strong plus. Focus on designing robust ETL/ELT data pipelines and automating ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows. Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, documentation, security, and compliance while optimizing performance.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data orchestration
  • Proficient in SQL and Python (or a similar data-focused language)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy standards (e.g., GDPR)
  • Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and strong attention to detail
  • Fluent Spanish
  • Experience in Agile environments
  • Exposure to machine learning or predictive models

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality and governance (lineage, documentation, security, compliance)
