As part of the Product Engineering organization, the Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in building, operating, and enhancing cloud platform capabilities that support highly available and scalable services.

This hands-on senior engineer will focus on implementation, automation, and operational excellence while working closely with platform, SRE, and product engineering teams. You'll design and automate components of large-scale distributed cloud systems, implement PAM solutions primarily on OpenStack, and build tools to improve availability, scalability, and latency.

The role requires strong execution skills and ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values our team-first culture. You will be required to maintain working hours that overlap with U.S. Pacific time zones to support collaboration across global teams.

Requirements

5–7+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or production operations.
3+ years of hands-on experience supporting systems, debugging production issues, and working with networking concepts.
3+ years of public cloud experience (OpenStack, AWS, or GCP), with OpenStack experience preferred.
Experience implementing and supporting security or access management solutions, including PAM.
Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation, using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (e.g., GitLab).
Candidates must demonstrate solid experience with Linux environments, including system administration, scripting, and performance troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and automate components of large-scale distributed cloud systems.
Implement and support PAM solutions primarily on OpenStack, ensuring secure and reliable access management.
Build tools, automation, and workflows to improve availability, scalability, latency, and operational efficiency.
Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to deploy high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor production and development environments and implement preventive and corrective measures to ensure platform reliability.
Participate in incident response, debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues.
Document designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides clearly and effectively.
Contribute to improvements in reliability metrics such as availability, MTTD, and MTTR.
