About this role

As a UX Designer at zollsoft, you will shape the user experience of tomedo.air, a new practice management system addressing growing complexity in healthcare. You will support your team in both operational design and strategic planning to optimize processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

You conduct customer interviews and usability tests to balance regulatory requirements with user needs. From wireframes to high-fidelity designs, you handle complex concepts while optimizing UI components for consistency and modernity, analyzing customer behavior to make data-driven decisions.

You collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders, focusing on problem-solving before solutions. The team offers 100% remote work or co-working spaces in Erfurt, Leipzig, Berlin, and Hamburg, with part-time options of at least 30 hours weekly.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or equivalent qualification in UX, Design, or Human-Computer Interaction.
  • At least 5 years of experience in UX design, ideally in software, healthcare, or agile environments with strong regulatory topics.
  • Proficient in UX principles from theory and science, as well as evolving component-based design systems.
  • Mastery of design and research tools, with experience in design-to-code processes and AI prototyping.
  • Practical experience in UX research and a deep understanding of product discovery principles.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and structured working style; not deterred by complex requirements.
  • Several years of experience in DesignOps, with ability to inspire and guide the team; fluent German required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in operational design processes, strategic planning, and process optimization.
  • Conduct customer interviews and usability tests to identify the best balance between regulatory requirements and user needs.
  • Analyze customer behavior and make data-driven design decisions to improve user experience.
  • Develop wireframes, click prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that master high complexity while being functional and user-friendly.
  • Optimize UI components with attention to detail to ensure consistency, modernity, and appeal.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, focusing on problem-solving before solutions.
  • Advise the team on prioritization and strategy, leveraging your experience in DesignOps.
