Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, delivering meals, finances, and transport with heart, hunger, honour, and humility. As Senior Product Designer on the Demand and Ads team, own product design outcomes and practice across problem space teams. Work collaboratively to explore user needs and create impactful business solutions.

The dynamic team builds marketing platforms for merchants, localized outreach tools, and engaging promo experiences for consumers using SEA insights. Leverage data and cultural understanding to innovate solutions fueling growth across on-demand services. Enhance user experience and platform engagement regionally.

Drive complex strategic initiatives, ensure solutions address value, usability, feasibility, and viability with minimal waste. Defend designs to senior stakeholders and facilitate alignment through workshops and discussions. Navigate complexity autonomously in problem exploration and solution delivery.

Act as force multiplier for adjacent designers, developing problem-framing to influence strategic thinking. Design simple solutions knitting multiple products into valuable experiences. Produce visual designs elevating quality and consistency while using advanced prototyping tools.

Report to Senior Designer Manager in a user-centric, collaborative Grab Design team. Thrive onsite full-time, harnessing technology and AI to empower Southeast Asia economically.

Requirements

  • 4+ years product design experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating design process, shipped work, and impact
  • Experience working on cross-functional product teams
  • Excellent fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice
  • Experience coaching others in interaction design, visual design, or prototyping
  • Excellent knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development
  • Experience with Figma, Protopie, After Effects or other design tooling

Responsibilities

  • Drive product design outcomes and set direction across teams on complex, strategic initiatives
  • Ensure building the right solutions addressing value, usability, feasibility, viability, and trade-offs with minimal waste
  • Defend design decisions and effectively convince senior stakeholders
  • Drive collaboration across domains, functions, and teams via discussions, workshops, and exploration
  • Drive problem exploration, solution discovery, and delivery across teams with autonomy
  • Act as a force multiplier helping designers in adjacent teams deliver better work
  • Develop problem-framing approaches establishing new starting points for strategic solutions
  • Design simple solutions to complex problems knitting multiple products into experiences
