About this role

Takealot Group is looking for a Junior Product Manager to help improve its Fulfilment Experiences, a key part of what makes Takealot.com one of South Africa's most successful ecommerce platforms. You will focus on tools supporting day-to-day operational teams in supply chain and logistics. This creates the best fulfillment experiences for internal and external clients.

You will work closely with engineering, supply chain & logistics operations, and client-focused teams. Define requirements, test ideas, and deliver improvements driving better fulfillment and business impact. Bring analytical thinking, customer empathy, and a practical product mindset.

Identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives, and scale what works. The position reports to the Fulfilment Product Lead. Foster continuous improvement in product management for a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Requirements

Analytical thinking to analyse project scope and create data-driven business cases
Customer empathy to assess end-users and ensure seamless, efficient experiences
Practical product mindset to prioritise initiatives and evolve product practices
Ability to conduct requirements workshops with stakeholders
Familiarity with product documentation including OKR and BRS
Understanding of supply chain and logistics operations
Knowledge of technical trade-offs in scalability, performance, and usability

Responsibilities

Drive roadmap initiatives powering Fulfilment Experiences, innovating back-end systems for seamless delivery and client frontends
Translate business needs into actionable and measurable projects, partnering with business owners on challenges and priorities
Define and monitor key metrics like delivery turnaround time and fulfilment experience scores to inform decisions
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to elicit functional requirements and document OKR & BRS for engineering
Work with technical leads and experts to align on technical vision, balancing usability, scalability, and performance
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, BI analysts, and UI designers to deliver projects on time
Project management by setting timelines, tracking progress, and adjusting for scope changes or slippage
Perform user acceptance testing and collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality releases
