About this role
The Digital Technical Product Manager balances technical and business aspects of digital products. This role enables digital tools and capabilities while meeting customer needs and business requirements. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders drives daily decisions and strategic influence.
Day-to-day work focuses on optimizing eCommerce touchpoints and platforms through data-driven insights. The manager identifies opportunities, proposes solutions, and improves performance using analytical techniques. Ownership of the Caterpillar eCommerce Configuration Tool and QA regression testing ensures consistent quality.
Cross-functional collaboration bridges gaps between business teams, technical groups, and Cat Digital objectives. Partnerships with Services, Parts, and Operations clarify how equipment management and service drive customer value. Data governance standards and reporting on the Cat Dealer Insights Hub maintain system integrity.
Participation in Caterpillar Digital webinars and training supports ongoing self-development and roadmap influence. The position models company mission alignment and Values Based Leadership practices. This environment rewards independent problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities for real-time decision-making.
- Systems integration experience with ERP systems, digital tools, and ecommerce platforms.
- Ability to work independently handling multiple complex activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to identify issues and prepare solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
- Ability to provide risk management insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Model and promote HOLT’s Values Based Leadership tools to align with company vision and mission.
- Own QA Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing on Caterpillar digital applications.
- Leverage digital research, market intelligence, and data insights to influence roadmaps and improve performance.
- Partner with Services, Parts, and Operations to understand how eCommerce drives customer value.
- Ensure digital tools connect across systems while maintaining data quality and governance standards.
- Maintain ownership and management of the Caterpillar eCommerce Configuration Tool.
- Report on product and customer experience performance against established targets.
- Support Global Dealer Standard revalidation and monitor digital application performance.
