At eBay, the Buyer and Seller science team sits at the center of the business. As Product Manager on the search ranking team you will shape the strategic direction of search products that serve millions of users across more than 190 markets.
You will lead initiatives that improve how search results are ranked, develop new search technologies, and balance near-term deliverables with longer-term platform investments. The role requires defining requirements, coordinating across teams, and presenting trade-offs to senior leaders.
You will join a dynamic group that applies advanced data science methods and values creativity, bravery, and teamwork. Collaboration with product managers, engineers, applied researchers, and analytics teams is central to daily work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- 5+ years of solid experience in product management, ideally developing customer-focused platform products that serve both buyers and sellers in a marketplace.
- Demonstrated history of creating inventive customer experiences guided by data from market research, A/B testing, and user research.
- Strong quantitative skills with a data-first approach to validate assumptions and drive decisions.
- Customer and search-engine obsession with passion for technology-based innovation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technically savvy with comfort working alongside engineering and research teams.
Responsibilities
