About this role

As a Software Engineer II on the Vertical Solutions team, you'll build the infrastructure for an AI agentic orchestration platform, recognized as Invention of the Year for two consecutive years. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the forefront of UiPath's Act 2 strategy.

You'll write production-quality code daily, leveraging AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot to enhance your workflow. You'll prototype ideas, validate them with real customers, and turn proven concepts into production systems. You'll design evaluations, measure quality, and ensure reliability in distributed systems.

You'll work with Lax and the Maestro backend team in a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. Requirements

Builder mindset — enjoy turning ideas into working systems and taking ownership from concept through customer impact and production.
Strong full stack knowledge including frontend systems like React and backend systems - Python and/or C#.
Experience building production AI systems — LLMs, tool-calling, multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent).
Distributed systems experience — designing resilient systems with idempotency, replay ability, state management, and long-running jobs.
Strong analytical thinking — able to reason quantitatively about system quality and make sound decisions using imperfect signals.
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid prototyping — able to move from idea to proof-of-concept quickly and iterate based on customer feedback.
3+ years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full stack for Vertical Solutions products, leveraging AI Coding Assistants.
Write production-quality code daily, using AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot to enhance your development workflow.
Take ideas from prototype to validate with real customers and turn proven ones into production systems.
Design evaluations, measure quality against real customer data, and understand when metrics mislead.
Deeply understand who will use the features you build and why, translating customer needs into technical solutions.
Contribute to building highly scalable, reliable distributed systems that enterprises depend on.
