About this role
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager with a strong data science background to drive a data and analytics platform that accelerates time to insight from Real World Data. In this role, you will interact directly with stakeholders to uncover and communicate user needs, assisting in product discovery activities while providing close support to the Lead Product Manager.
Your day-to-day work involves applying a structured approach to discover, document, and manage business processes, user needs, and stakeholder requirements. You will gather deep insight into user journeys, behavior, motivation, and pain points, exposing unarticulated problems and unmet needs to inform what gets built.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and supporting teams, facilitating the translation of problem statements into technical solutions. This role requires you to gain expertise in the business area, leverage existing solutions through IT communities, and introduce and inspire change at all stages of product development.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analyst or product role.
- Open and receptive to listening; asks thoughtful questions; curious and persistent; able to discern pain points and simplify complex problems.
- Critical thinker who can effectively balance the needs of stakeholders and users, embracing new ideas and evidence while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
- Able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Strong business acumen and easy rapport with peers and executives.
- Adept at managing diverse relationships across expertise, geography, and culture, regardless of organizational hierarchy.
- Solid communication skills including facilitation of live or virtual meetings, meeting/workshop management, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of data science concepts, RESTful APIs, HTTP requests, JSON, and data exchange formats; understanding of data modeling, data engineering, and ETL processes; familiarity with programming in R and/or Python.
Responsibilities
- Apply a structured approach to discover, document, and manage business processes, user and stakeholder needs, including opportunity statements, use cases, insights, and requirements.
- Gather insight into user journey, behavior, motivation, and pain points, exposing unarticulated problems and unmet needs.
- Document business processes and user needs in the form of problem statements to make up the backlog, facilitating the 'how' with the Engineering team.
- Gain expertise in the business area to better inform solutioning ideas and prioritization decisions.
- Leverage business and user insight to help inform solutioning ideas and prioritization decisions to deliver valuable products.
- Get knowledge of and leverage existing solutions to benefit stakeholders through using IT communities.
- Introduce and inspire change at all stages of product development.
- Plan, design, and conduct testing activities, engaging engineering and supporting teams, and compile critical content for training and user communication.
