About this role

As a Principal Product Designer, Facilities, you will lead the design strategy and execution for Veho's warehouse and facility operations tools. You own key surfaces across the Warehouse Management System and mobile scanning application while driving the design system that powers all tools.

You conduct research with warehouse staff, operations managers, and drivers to understand pain points and optimize workflows. You rapidly prototype solutions using AI-assisted tools, validate ideas through user testing, and refine designs based on feedback from on-site observations.

You partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to align priorities and ensure seamless execution across Veho's logistics ecosystem. Monthly on-site warehouse visits provide firsthand insights that strengthen relationships with local operations teams.

You advocate for best-in-class design practices, mentor designers, and help shape Veho's design culture including the adoption of new AI workflows. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency and delivery network performance as the company scales.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex system design.
Experience designing for complex systems and enterprise tools.
Systems thinker with an eye for detail who sees the big picture but sweats the small details that make experiences seamless.
AI-native designer who has integrated AI into research synthesis, ideation, system mapping, prototyping, or writing.
Strong facilitation and influence skills with the ability to align teams around a shared vision through compelling storytelling.
Hands-on approach with comfort getting into facilities, observing workflows firsthand, and rapidly iterating on solutions.
Data-informed designer who uses both qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions and refine designs.

Responsibilities

Own the design vision for facilities tools and workflows, ensuring they scale with Veho's growth.
Conduct research with warehouse staff, operations managers, and drivers to deeply understand their pain points and optimize workflows.
Use AI tools across the design process for synthesizing research, exploring system tradeoffs, generating prototypes, and stress-testing flows.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align on key priorities and drive seamless execution.
Rapidly prototype solutions, validate ideas through user testing, and refine designs based on feedback.
Design intuitive, data-driven interfaces that integrate with Veho's broader logistics ecosystem toward a unified application.
Advocate for best-in-class design practices, mentor designers, and help shape Veho's design culture including AI workflow adoption.
Spend a day on-site in a warehouse once a month to gain firsthand insights and foster relationships with operations teams.
