About this role

Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex, end-to-end business processes. As a Product Manager for Camunda 8 self-managed service, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for how customers install, configure, and operate Camunda 8 in their own environments.

Your day-to-day involves defining the market-driven vision and product requirements to reduce deployment friction for Kubernetes/Helm deployments, container services, bare-metal, air-gapped environments, and on-premises configurations. You will manage customer, partner, and internal feedback to drive innovation that improves the self-managed experience.

You will work across engineering, product marketing, customer success, and documentation, and collaborate closely with Pre-Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and other teams to ensure Camunda’s self-managed product line is enterprise-ready, easy to adopt, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Experience owning product strategy and roadmap for infrastructure, platform, or self-managed software products.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, container orchestration, and on-premises deployment patterns.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize feature requests based on customer and market needs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade security, auditability, and governance requirements for self-managed software.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, customer success, and documentation teams to deliver product improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills for competitive landscape assessment and market differentiation analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Define a market-driven vision, strategy, and product requirements focused on improving the Camunda product portfolio for self-managed deployments.
  • Own and manage community, customer, partner, and internal feedback to drive innovation in the self-managed service.
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming feature requests to align with strategic goals.
  • Keep the self-managed team equipped to work on the appropriate epics.
  • Continuously assess Camunda demand, market differentiation, and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and other teams to ensure enterprise readiness and scalability.
  • Reduce deployment friction for Kubernetes/Helm, container services, bare-metal, air-gapped, and on-premises configurations.
